Dr. Kevin L. Clauson is the Executive Director and Advisor of CEI and President of The Patrick Henry Institute (currently). Kevin has recently served as Vice President of Academics (Provost) at Bryan College in Tennessee but has now retired after 40 years in the academic world.
Before that, he was founding head of the Government Division of Liberty University in Virginia, Co-Founder and President of Christ College in Virginia, and a professor of Political Science at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. He was State Director, Ron Paul for President 2008 campaign and three-time candidate for public office in VA and WV. He has also served as an Elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
He has authored numerous articles and a few book chapters. He is a native of West Virginia, where he earned the B.A. (International Affairs), the B.S. (Chemistry), the M.A. (Political Science)—all from Marshall University—and the J.D. (Law) from West Virginia University.
He has been married for 42 years to Marcia, the chief homeschooling teacher for 5 children. They have 13 grandchildren. They now live in Appomattox, Virginia.
