Richard was born and raised in southern California in the 50s and 60s. After graduating with an engineering degree he worked for a year with General Dynamics then joined the Air Force. Later, he transferred to the Air National Guard and eventually retired after 20 years of military service.
He accepted Jesus Christ rather late in life compared to many Christians. He was 50 years old when the Holy Spirit regenerated his heart…..Paul had his road to Damascus experience, Richard had his road to Lake Havasu experience.
He has been leading the Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project since 2007. He researches and teaches worldviews as supplemental material to The Truth Project. He also has taught Adult Sunday School Bible studies. He co-edited a worldview book now titled Marxifying America: Cultural Marxism’s Fundamental Transformation of the Institutions.
He has been married to the former Pamela Lange for over 23 years now. They met through eHarmony and are one of the first 10 couples that married through that ministry service. He has 3 grown children; two are married and have produced 5 grandchildren between the two families.
He and Pam reside in Lexington, SC and he is Chairman of the Christian Education Initiative ministry, following Chaplain E. Ray Moore’s retirement from the position.
