Dr. Kevin Clauson teaches both Principles of Law and Principles of Government. In addition to his teaching and administrative duties at CBC, Dr. Clauson is also the current president of The Patrick Henry Institute, Inc., an educational organization with similar educational philosophy to CBC, but offering educational opportunities that are different from those of a Bible college. He has recently served as Vice President of Academics at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, as well as serving as Professor of Government and Law, and as Director of the Center for Faith, Freedom and the Constitution. Prior to those assignments, he was professor of Government and the founding head of the Government Division at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and President of Christ College, also in Lynchburg, Virginia. He served as Professor of Political Science at Grove City College in Pennsylvania before his time in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is an elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Clauson has authored numerous articles and a few book chapters. He was a candidate for public office three times. He is originally from West Virginia, where he earned his B.A. in International Affairs, his B.S. in Chemistry, and his M.S. in Political Science at Marshall University. Pres. Clauson earned his J.D. from West Virginia University.
He has been married to his wife, Marcia, for 40 years, who has been the chief homeschool teacher of their 5 children. He and Marcia have 13 grandchildren.
